The 15-Minute City model has gained traction as a promising solution for mitigating transportation disadvantages and enhancing access to essential services in urban areas. However, it is equally essential to consider equity and transportation justice in its planning and implementation. This paper proposes a comparative case study of urban areas in France to examine the potential of the 15-Minute City model in promoting transportation justice and equity._x000D_
The research will employ a mixed-method approach, comprising both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. Firstly, we will conduct a comprehensive review of the relevant literature to identify the key components of the 15-Minute City model and the challenges and opportunities associated with its implementation. Secondly, we will collect and analyze quantitative data on the accessibility and availability of essential services, such as healthcare, education, and retail, in different urban areas in France. Finally, we will conduct qualitative interviews with relevant stakeholders, including urban planners, policymakers, and community leaders, to understand their perspectives on the implementation of the 15-Minute City model in different urban areas in France._x000D_
The quantitative data will be analyzed using GIS mapping and statistical techniques to identify the patterns of accessibility and availability of essential services across different urban areas. The qualitative data will be analyzed using content analysis to identify the key themes and patterns in the stakeholders’ perspectives on the implementation of the 15-Minute City model in diverse urban settings in France. _x000D_
The findings will provide insights into the potential of the 15-Minute City model in promoting transportation justice and equity in urban areas in France. The comparative case study will identify the challenges and opportunities asso
