Catholic jubilees, over the centuries, have represented for the city of Rome not just major spiritual events able to attract consistent and extraordinary flows of pilgrims, but they have also amplified, compared to the practice, the connectivity of the Urbe to the rest of the world. In consideration of the need to accommodate exceptional numbers of visitors, jubilees also strongly contributed to the structuring and infrastructuring of parts of the city, with effects still clearly visible in the urban fabric, although made in dissimilar historical-urban contexts._x000D_
As the Jubilee 2025 approaches, the proposal aims to analyse – both through a review of the literature concerning the effects of similar events closer in time and an assessment of the plans drawn up for the upcoming jubilee – the potential implications, the main possible territorial impacts which may arise and as well as legacies in the post-event. Furthermore, the contribution will review whether there are elements of comparison with major events that, originating from different motivations, have influenced dynamics of urban reorganization in Rome._x000D_
