The presentation would be centered on a tool developed by the University of Florence, within the LINKS-HORIZON project, called The Including Citizens Handbook. It is designed as a document created for DMOs on how to strenghten the links with the community before, during, and after the occurrence of a disaster (both natural and human made). As a part of the Handbook, a section dedicated to the mobilization of citizens during an hazard has been develped, with a twofold aim: to instruct DMOs on what physical mobility actually means, as well as to provide practical guidelines on how to effectively communicate with people, including groups with vulnerability profiles.
