The coming of a new airport reshapes the regional air transport services in metropolitan with the old airport(s). For people living in different parts of the metropolitan, their travel distance to destinations might change because of changing ground and air accessibility. Thanks to the big data of Beijing, we estimated the changes in travel distance in 1*1 km research units, thus exploring the passenger winners and losers in the era of the multi-airport system (MAS). Further, we discussed the determinant issue with the help of the nested logit model, following the nested structure for the region-airport pair choice. Our findings contribute to a better understanding of the impact of a MAS on regional mobility and offer valuable insights for policymakers and urban planners._x000D_
