Floods are natural hazards that can have negative effects in the short and long term, affecting communities and at the same time influencing the quality of life of the inhabitants. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach that combines survey-based data collection and GIS, we aim to provide a nuanced understanding of the lived experiences of individuals residing in flood-prone areas._x000D_

Following floods, the damage can be economic, physical, even emotional, which denotes a significant disruption of daily life. Thus, it emerges that there is a close correlation between floods and the quality of life, through the effects that occur._x000D_

In order to observe the relationship between floods and the quality of life, a questionnaire was applied at the level of several localities in the drainage basin of Suceava river, the data were used that were analyzed and mapped so that the results were conclusive. To supplement the quantitative findings, the qualitative component of the study delves deeper into the narratives of individuals and families affected by floods, exploring the underlying mechanisms through which flood events shape their social and economic realities._x000D_

By shedding light on the multifaceted consequences of flood events on the quality of life, this study aspires to contribute to the development of contextually sensitive and equity-focused interventions that can enhance the well-being and resilience of communities living in flood-prone areas._x000D_
